More hands and nails, it's becoming an obsession. Okay, it used to be just long nails, now it's hands in general. Ripley's Believe It Or Not! is what originally interested me in long nails, you know those people with the really, really long nails they featured? They were inspirational people to me in middle school when I decided to stop tending to the length of my nails. My nails will never be that extreme since they usually break after a while, but it's still fun. I've heard nearly everything that could be said about them, it was one of the main (and pettiest) things people bullied me over in school. It's funny how something so natural (even on someone else's body) can disgust people so much, ha!
My fingernails were supposed to be similar to the print on composition notebooks. It didn't turn out since I used too much black, so I added Hard Candy's Black Tie Optional which is a mix of black and white glitters. I've been waiting for a non-indie and inexpensive dupe to Lynnderella's Connect the Dots. It's not an exact dupe, this one has a less variety of glitter, but it's awesome. My toenails haven't been painted in months and since spring is almost here, I thought I'd do something with them. They're inspired by the prints at the Proenza Schouler Fall 2013 show. I realize Madeline Poole and Jen Brill did a version for Into the Gloss, too, and I think theirs is perfect for fingernails and mine is perfect for toenails.

Your fingernails look great! I'm struggling to grow mine out again. I REALLY love the photo editing, so cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI absolutely love the toenails!! I've been trying to grow my nails out as well, I don't feel like myself if I don't have claws
ReplyDeleteThank you. Same here!
DeleteMy partner has these super long claws, is funny how he can be messing up installing stuff to the car and never break a nail. They are pretty strong. Where as mine are not. I really admire his nails. :P
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah, long nails have to be quite sturdy, they can usually go through a lot!
DeleteAlso: I adore this red set of photographs! You are so stunning!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I wasn't sure which color to edit them but then I remembered red is always great.
DeleteThese are some of the best pics i've seen in a blog!! Let's keep in touch:
