My current go-to look. It's all about the eyes. The main inspiration was makeup in giallo movies, specifically Death Laid an Egg. It's not that great movie-wise compared to others but I liked one character's eye makeup and created my own version of it. I always enjoy the closeup shots of eyes and looks of terror that are common throughout giallo movies. So dramatic, yet so cheesy and fake. Plus, I can see the makeup closer up!

ReplyDeleteThe method I use for my eyebrows is pretty simple, although I should make a proper post one of these days.
DeleteFirst, I shape them with tweezers. Sometimes I like to tweeze when they're already slightly filled in. When I fill them in, I use Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer before powder and Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil after powder. They keep everything in place longer and make them look softer. I use Coconut Grove eyeshadow by NARS for powder and fill in almost all of my brows with an angled brush. Since my eyebrows are a little uneven, I try to balance them out and softly extend some parts around the ends, arches, and beginning near the center of my face. It's taken a lot of experimenting to end up how they are now. I suggest always trying with makeup before changing actual brows, it'll save lots of time. :)
They look really good.
