A fun little shoot for the end of summer at my favorite location. Nothing too fancy since I played around with styling and ideas a few hours beforehand, unlike how I usually have everything laid out days in advance. Also, no more shooting here for a long time, I swear. I had two shoots here of other people, but a summer self portrait session that lasts until sundown feels like a tradition.
It grew dark so suddenly and the last photos look much brighter than it was by that time. I ended up shooting somewhat in reverse for the lighting, since I made the first photos darker. It was perfect to test some ideas with lightness/darkness and overall exposure in camera and post production. Sometimes I feel like I'm too picky about making the exposure *perfect* or exactly how it was in person, so I wanted to try something different. I really like the darkness in the first one and the grain in the ones I brightened up.
For wardrobe, I finally broke out my vintage sequin gown. I should've played with sequins in the sunlight now that I think about it, but I'm happy I finally shot in it. The bridge piercing is fake, made up of glass beads and strong eyelash glue. They never came off on their own, although at one point I accidentally picked one off. Eyelash glue does not fuck around. I actually really like how I'd look with a bridge piercing, only for temporary looks. Another temporary look is with that fabulous wig, which wasn't even a dollar, haha. It's weird seeing myself in it.
