FALL FOR NAILS, NAILS FOR FALL | FAVORITE SHADES FOR FALL 2013

Sinful Colors in Most Sinful | Yves Saint Laurent in Bleu Majorelle | Orly in Frolic | Orly in You're Blushing | Revlon in Stormy

Fall is near. It actually seems hotter than it was all summer right now so fall might not happen on time but I can pretend. I definitely have vibes for what my nail game will be like since I always go through phases with the seasons. Along with the following shades, I'm feeling matte nails. N.Y.C. in Matte Me Crazy! and American Apparel's matte top coat are my favorite matte top coats.

Vivid blues were nice for summer but for some reason, I really like them for fall. I've posted about the Yves Saint Laurent shade before and I recently picked up Sinful Colors in Most Sinful. It's slightly lighter and brighter with an awesome formula that doesn't budge throughout wear. The only negative against it when compared to Bleu Majorelle is the brush. The other bright shade, Orly in Frolic, is nearly Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics' Hoochie lip tar in nail polish form. Another nice bright color for fall, I think I may have to be a little matchy-matchy and wear the nail polish and lip tar together. The last two colors are muddy, taupe shades. Fall staples, pretty much.

Illamasqua in Creator | Zoya in Rekha | American Apparel in Downtown L.A. | American Apparel in Mannequin | Illamasqua in Monogamous

Breaking out the big guns with Illamasqua's Creator (past review here.) Looks boring in the above swatch, but trust me, it's super gorgeous. The remaining colors are what I consider classic, glamorous shades that would be perfect to wear while scratching someone's eyes out or something fun and gory you'd see in a giallo movie. Ah, blood reds and mannequin nails. The last two are nearly identical, but Illamasqua in Monogamous is slightly lighter and has a matte finish. Honestly, I'd recommend American Apparel in Mannequin over it.

Jordana in Silver Jewel | Jordana in Funky Gold Town | OPI in A Taupe the Space Needle | China Glaze in Westside Warrior | OPI in Get in the Espresso Lane

These glitters polishes remind me of confetti and I think I'd like bare or sheer colored nails with a confetti look. The other shades literally look like shit and I guess I like shit colored nails for fall. Most of the polishes I have by China Glaze and OPI are actually quite poopy looking. They'd look good worn with lots of leather or fur.

I'm currently wearing Zoya in Rekha with Revlon base and top coats. It makes my nails look a bit like Twizzlers, especially since they're twisting.

  1. love these shades, I've already picked out a few fall colors too and I'm really excited to break them out! That red is so classic, love it!
