Boo! Happy Halloween! My last look was inspired by the amazingly gorgeous jeweled skeletons of saints found throughout catacombs in Europe. Look them up and sob over their beauty and bling. I created the headpiece, face pieces, hand piece and chest piece pretty much out of scratch (thread, wire, beads, gems, ribbons, fabric, etc.) It was very draining and time consuming and I'm sure I lost my mind a few times (hence the dull photos of late and lack of posts) but I usually don't finish most of my beading projects so I'm glad I did this time. It was even more rewarding with the creepy and nearly unrecognizable photos I took of myself. It's actually just as creepy in person, from what I could see through the eye pieces.
The rest of the looks are rather simple in comparison. I've been obsessed with making my skin look as flawless as possible with a few new products I've been trying by Hourglass. I had a few other makeup looks in mind but decided to save those for other shoots. To tie up this shoot, I incorporated stuff layered on my face that's not makeup. I do wish I would've had more far away/outfit shots and that my boots were more visible, they're wonderful.
Other inspirations for this shoot include roses, the color red, the movie Jigoku, photographs by Kishin Shinoyama, and various shows by Raf Simons for Christian Dior.

DeleteWhen I die, I want my bones to be picked clean and bleached white, and then I would like somebody to glue rhinestones all over my skeleton, please.
