It's spring. No more being stuck in the house 24/7 because of snow or icy roads. No more being a lazy butt living off of jalapeños, milkshakes, and caramel. Instead I can actually do stuff and live off of jalapeños, milkshakes, and caramel.
I've been obsessed with the late 1960s and 1970s and I blame all the gialli and pinky violence I've watched lately. I've always been drawn to that era, many of my favorite movies and music are from back then. Now I've been searching everywhere for clothes the past few weeks in hopes that I could look like a character in a giallo movie. I want the ugly, kind of acid-y, fluorescent polyester crap, floral print maxi dresses, jumpsuits, etc. There've been some interesting dresses I've come across, but nothing too perfect yet. I'd like something that is mostly black but also has colorful flowers on it or something. Clothing before the 1980s and in decent condition can be a little hard to find in thrift stores around here, so I've been visiting vintage clothing shops too.
I'm very open-minded when I go shopping because I know how much something a little questionable on the hanger could look amazing on, kind of like this jumpsuit. My mom actually found it while we were at a thrift store. Sometimes I'm iffy about jumpsuits because they can easily be ill-fitting but I thought it was cute. When I tried it on, I was surprised at how perfectly it fit given how short I am. Sold! It's genuinely from the 1970s as well (I looked up the label).
Also be sure to check out my latest articles on The Style Con, one about the Undercover Fall 2014 makeup which reminded me of Lucio Fulci's City of the Living Dead and the other about untraditional blush colors with inspiration from the 1970s.
You look so good in that jumpsuit, it's impressive. and Jalapenos, milkshakes and caramel sounds like an interesting meal ha

Thank you! Sometimes I'm tempted to mix them all together, a jalapeño and caramel milkshake sounds kind of gross but I'd totally try it. I mean, Sonic makes bacon milkshakes...
